Keith come to Dummerston later in life which afforded him the opportunity to do some other fun and exciting things, including teaching rock climbing and snorkeling in California, running an Educational Wolf Center, teaching adults wilderness survival skills in Washington State, and designing and teaching a wildlife conservation/soccer skill curriculum in Botswana. These life experience, plus Keith's educational background, including a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, a Master’s degree in Education and Natural Resources, as well as a CAGS (advanced graduate studies) degree in Education, served as excellent preparation for teaching middle school STEM. Keith loves teaching middle school and believes in making a difference in students' lives, preparing them for high school and beyond as kind, critical thinking and engaged citizens. It may not be as glamorous as teaching rock climbing in California, wrangling wolves in Idaho or teaching a combined conservation and soccer program in Botswana Africa, but for Keith, it really is just as fun and exciting, albeit in a different way.
Megan knew she would be a teacher since playing school in the neighborhood as a very young child. Since then, she has worked with students ranging from preschool to college! From leading groups of college students on trips in Europe to teaching elementary, middle, and high school students in Vermont and Massachusetts, she has had the opportunity to work in a variety of settings. She is so grateful to be here at Dummerston School not only as a teacher but as a parent as well. Outside of school, she loves spending time with her family outdoors, paddle boarding, snowboarding, reading, and listening to live music.
