Hope and Help-From A letter from Retreat Farm

Retreat Farm staff members Lu and Carissa spent Wednesday packing up grocery bags brimming with food for people in our community, while our the rest of our team worked behind the scenes to pull it all together. What started as a spontaneous response to the crisis has grown into Retreat Farm’s Emergency Food Pantry.

We're now distributing 50 bags of food to people who desperately need them. And our waiting list for next week is already full.

This Emergency Food Pantry is very much a homegrown effort. Lu, our Program Director, filled her car a making trip after trip to the Brattleboro Coop and Hannafords this week to obtain food for these families. We are working on sourcing food from the VT Foodbank, but they too are running short.

You can give these folks a sense of hope in a dark time.

Can you contribute $50 to help our neighbors in need? Every dollar you donate will go straight to paying for bags full of food for people who need it more than we can imagine.

In gratitude,

Wendy Ferris
